Question: Do I need a Derbygear account to view ads?
Answer: No, you do not need to have an account with us to view ads. You only need an account to sell items or advertise items on our web site.

HOW TO?
Do You Need FREE Help With Adding Photos To Your Ads?
To Register With DerbyGear
Make sure you are not blocking cookies. You must have cookies enabled in order to sign up and view ads on DerbyGear.Com
)1. Register for an account with Derbygear.com Click on the "Register Link"
)2.You will be taken to a secure server via pay pal to pay for your account with us.
)3.Upon completion of payment, you will be taken to your personal registration profile. You must fill this out!
)4.After filling out all fields click on the accept button to agree to our Terms Of Service
)5.Upon clicking the accept button you will be redirected to your login page. Simply enter your username and password that you entered in your profile registration page.
)6.You are now logged into DerbyGear.com
Placing Your Ads
)1. Log into your account with your username and password that you chose.
)2. Click on "Place Ad" link in your menu to the top
)3. Select the category you wish to place your ad under.
)4. Fill out your ad description. And Choose a picture to go with your ad if you want to.
Adding Images
)1. Simply use the browse button and move to the directory on your computer where the picture resides
)2. Once you have selected your picture. Please make sure it is in the file extension JPG or GIF only
)3. ALL PICTURE FILES MUST NOT CONTAIN ANY SPACES IN THE FILE NAME. ( See example below )

)3. Bitmapped Pictures sometimes will not show up on the web site
)4. Finish out your items description and submit your ad.
)5. You image will be instantly uploaded if you did everything correctly.
)6. Use the following File Extensions. .jpg, .jpeg. gif .png NOTE: BMP FILES WILL NOT LOAD FOR OVER 5 Minutes
Removing your add.
)1. To remove you ad if you have sold the item or want to remove your listing
)2. Login to your derbygear.com with your username and password.
)3. Click on Manage Your Ads.
)4. You may now remove your ad or edit your ad to your liking!
)5. Please note that your are responsible for your own ads. You must delete them once the item is sold or you no longer want to sell.
If you have lost your username or password. Please click the lost password link and enter the email address you used to sign up with. You may also need to provide your first name and last name and the username you used for your account in order to recover your login information and password.
Troubles Viewing Ads Or Logging In
)1. If you are having trouble viewing ads our ad category pages. You need to adjust your browser settings in order to be able to see the links. Many browsers do not automatically recognize the <DIV tags.
)2. If you are trying to log in and it takes your username and password, but the screen does not change. If this happens you are blocking cookies or your browser security is blocking our cookies. You can fix this in internet explorer by click on the tools menu and choosing internet options and making derbygear.com a trusted web site.
)3. Netscape Users. We currently do not support Netscape browsers at this time. If you are using a browser version of either Netscape or Internet Explorer 4.0 or above you should have no trouble using our site in the event your browser settings are correct.
)4. AOL, WEB TV, ULTIMATE TV, ECT USERS. You may experience trouble using our site. We have not tested any of these ISP's with our service. if you are unable to use or view our site. This may be due to your ISP's software. Some software such as AOL, CompuServe, Prodigy ect make changes to your system settings. You will need to seek a qualified professional in order to set your browser settings correctly. We do not make any claim that any users of any ISP will be able to view our web site.
